Hello. I’m Kaylee
MSW
I recently graduated with a Master of Social Work from Aurora University in May 2024. Prior to earning my MSW, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Individual and Family Development from Northern Illinois University.
While earning my MSW, I interned at two private practices providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. While only working in private practice for two years, I have worked with children and families for four years in numerous settings. As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space for clients as well as their families.
When working with clients and their families, I remain non-judgmental, empathetic, supportive, and reassuring. The most important component when working with clients and their families is trust. In order for a productive relationship between myself and clients, there must be trust and respect from both parties.
I work with children as young as 5 years old, adolescents, adults, and families. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder, autism, mood disorders, crisis management, relational conflicts, life transitions, and life stressors.
I use evidence-based practices such as, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) that will allow clients and I to work as a team in identifying the best route of treatment that emphasizes optimal growth and healing.
