Grief and Loss
Going through grief and loss can cause a variety of emotions.
Many people think of grief when it involves the death of a person, but grief comes in many forms. It could be the loss of a job, the ending of a relationship, or becoming an empty nester. It can also be thinking “Life isn’t supposed to be this way” or “This isn’t what I imagined my life to be like”. It could be dealing with a chronic illness or serious mental health issues as well as caring for someone who struggles with these issues.
Going through grief and loss can cause a variety of emotions. We have worked with many individuals to process their feelings of grief and increase their functioning. We believe that grief, particularly when it involves the death of a loved one, isn’t something that we “get over”. We believe it is something that we learn to carry and move forward with.
